DARCI EVERSON
Founder & Owner of EverBead
Darci Everson is from Lac Seul First Nation. She was born and raised in Kenora, ON and now resides in Thunder Bay, ON with her family. Darci holds two degrees - one in education and the other in psychology. In 2018, after working for a number of years and beading on the side, Darci launched a bead supply company as a side business.
She is now the owner of EverBead - A spin off from her last name, but also indicating that beadwork is “forever” and is also ever good and ever deadly. EverBead began by selling beads at a yard sale, and shortly after a friend asked Darci to create a beading kit for her daughter. Since then, EverBead has evolved into creating beading kits, traditional crafting bundles, as well as delivering workshops and tutorials.
Darci believes that beading truly is medicine and loves sharing what she has learned in her beading journey with others. In her free time, she also enjoys hiking & photography. Please check out Many Moons Photography to see some of her captures.
Growth & Opportunity
People who aspire to become entrepreneurs are an integral part of the Indigenous community. Together we can create a brighter future for the next generations. People believed and invested in EverBead and without that, EverBead would not have grown and evolved to what it is now. We are proud to involve summer students and Indigenous entrepreneurs in the work we do.
